Join the club! ๐ŸŽ‰

No forms, no fees โ€” just turn up to your first session. Here's everything you need to know.

Quick start

  • Check our club dates and pick a Saturday
  • Arrive at Newton Heath Library for 10:30am
  • Ask for Code Club at the desk โ€” we'll show you to the room
  • Start coding! Laptops are provided (or bring your own)

Who can join?

Children aged 8 and over who want to learn coding. Parents and carers are welcome to stay and watch โ€” younger siblings can hang out in the library but may find the sessions too advanced.

No experience needed. Complete beginners are our favourite kind of member!

What to bring

  • Nothing required โ€” we have library laptops
  • Optional: your own laptop or tablet with Scratch installed
  • A drink of water (coding is thirsty work!)
  • Your imagination and a smile ๐Ÿ˜Š

Parents & carers

Code Club is run by volunteers with support from library staff. Sessions are free and inclusive. If your child has additional needs, please mention this when you arrive so we can support them.

We may take photos during showcase sessions โ€” we'll always ask permission before sharing anything online.
